Online CAR Certification System Testing Instructions (Recertification)

If you have previously taken CAR certification tests manually, an ID was created for you when your testing information was loaded into the system.  If you do not have your logon information, you can retrieve it from the logon page or by contacting the IARA systems administrator as noted below.  

Log onto the IARA portal using the logon button in the far right corner of the website menu remarketingalliance.com at the top of the screen.  Select login from the drop down menu.

Type in your username and password, if known.

If you do not know your username and password, retrieve it on the right hand side of the login screen by typing in your email address. An email message will be sent to you with your login information. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder.

Once you've logged into the Portal, you can:

• Review Modules: Click on 'View' underneath '[Canada or US] CAR Certification Modules'.
  • The study materials will be available to you online as needed, to review materials in order to pass the recertification test.
• Take Test: Click on '[Canada or US] Recertification Test'.
  • You will have the option to take the U.S. or the Canadian version of the recertification test.  Once you are on the Module page you can find the recertification test after module 20.  You can attempt this test as many times as needed to achieve a 75% passing grade.  A proctor is not required for this test and the test will tell you which questions you did not get correct and which section of the study material you can review to respond to the question correctly. 
• View Certificates: Click on 'My Certificates'.
  • Once you have successfully completed the test, you will have immediate access to your updated CAR Certificate.
